The message began with John the Baptist. Christ and the Apostles preached repentance and baptism. Today, the message continues to be repent and be baptized. Christ obtained eternal redemption by his death on the cross. As we experience the conviction of our sins, we then have the blessed privilege of following our Lord in baptism for the remission of sins; because of what Christ has already done in our heart and life, we are to be baptized and enjoy deliverance, liberty, and a release from the bondage of guilt.
