Those things penned down in the Old Testament serve so many purposes, the greatest of which is to provide a better understanding of the New Testament, so we have a more complete view of God’s will in and through His Son, Jesus Christ.
The Israelites were miraculously delivered from Egyptian bondage, initially turned back from the Promised Land because of unbelief, then wandered in the wilderness for forty years while still being kept by the providence of God.
