Sound Doctrine

Sound doctrine – teaching that is pure, clean, “hygienic”. What is it and what benefit is there to it? Some will be furnished by it and utilize it for good; others will not endure it but will turn to fables.

Cloud of Witnesses

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us…” Hebrews 12:1

Faith Overcomes Fear

In Hebrews 11, we learn that the parents of Moses overcame fear by faith. We also learn that Moses, by faith, was able to overcome the temptation to pursue the pleasures of sin, which only last for a season. The amazing thing is, you and I have the same faith today, thousands of years later. We are a part of the same grand story with these Old Testament saints; the unfolding of the will of God. And the common thread we share is a God-given faith that allows us to overcome fear, temptation, suffering, affliction, and every other challenge and obstacle that comes our way.

Joy of the Holy Ghost

“And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost”, 1Thessalonians 1:6.  As you embrace Christ, as you receive God’s word, as you deny yourself and turn away from the world, the Holy Spirit becomes your only source of true and lasting joy.
